Every girl wants a functional wardrobe.  Am I right?  It’s pertinent that we be able to change just a thing or two in order to go from a cute work outfit, to a fun evening or weekend look.  And if you’re me, it’s mainly just because you don’t want to spend the extra time primping, so here you are ladies, a blog about transitioning your outfits!  PS – I’m overly excited about the deals I got on these dresses and a few other pieces, so don’t mind my enthusiasm and exact change recaps!

I picked up this navy maxi from Gap last week, for just $14.97 (regularly $79.95) and it’s oh-so-soft!  Perfect for almost every season, this dress could be worn in so many ways, but here I’ll show you the two I took on last week!

In the office, or classroom in my case, you can take a basic maxi and throw on a simple blazer for a more professional look. Layer on jewelry, like I did, or add a scarf, to give your outfit a finished feel.  Admit it – there’s just something about a blazer that makes you feel like you’re ready to take on the world.  Or at least the day.

When you’re ready to go out, replace your blazer with a fun piece! I chose my fringe vest that I got for a steal over the summer – just $9.98 on the Target clearance rack.  Awesome, right?  Let your hair down or tie it back in a messy bun and be on your way!

So, for all of the girls who like things to be nice and simple, this one’s for you!  We’d love to see/hear how you transition your maxis, whether it’s from office to off-duty, or from summer to fall!  Get creative and show us your ideas!

Love, Heather.
