I often get asked about my makeup and hair routine at the shop. I thought it would be helpful to do a post on it and show people exactly what I use, with what brushes and so on. You can check out part 1 and part 2.
The third part on this series is my hair routine. This is probably my favorite by far. I am a short haired girl. I’ve always took pride in how my hair is styled. I think of myself as a bit of a different person, so when I get my hair cut un-even — people don’t wonder. I’m okay with that.

This is my second one and I would never get anything else. I use it everyday to straighten my entire head of hair. I use it sometimes to curl as well.
This comes in a small bottle, but goes a long way. I sprinkle this on my roots wherever I want volume. I rub it into my roots until it gets gritty. That’s the consistency you need to get the volume.
I use this when I curl my hair to give it more definition. Again, a little goes a long way.
This is a wax spray that I use if I don’t want to use my hairspray. It gives you the hold without the stick.

I use this when I style my next day hair. I spray it and then brush my hair out and re-style.
I bought this originally for my oldest daughter, and then started using it on my own hair. I use it after I straighten my hair to give it a perfect wave. After I use it, I pull my hair down while it’s still warm. This way it gives it a more beachy look.
I am clearly addicted to subscription boxes. I got this one from my Birchbox, when I used to get it. It smells amazing and I use it on my hair and my daughters. Honestly, it’s probably the only thing I ever used from it. I have since switched to Ipsy and I literally love every single item I get.
I have used this same hairspray since I was in high school. The end.
So, there it is. If you have been looking for the right “something” to use, try one of these.
