DISCLAIMER: We are going to tease our moms just a little before Mother’s Day comes around. Don’t worry – it’s all in good fun! Plus, you’re getting a really awesome gift guide along with it! If you missed the others, check them out here — part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4.
I consider myself to be a pretty stylish person. And I think that I must’ve “got it from my momma.” Or maybe not. Here’s why:
- My mom used to dress me in outfits that were a little too “matchy-matchy.” When I say they matched, I mean from head to friggin’ toe. If there was some lace on the edge of my dress, there was also lace in my hair bow, on the trim of every piece of the dress, and even some pretty lace on my crisp, perfectly white socks.
- Speaking of socks. My mom used to insist that her socks must match her underwear or something crazy like that. I’m not even going to delve deeper.
- My hair. My hair, oh my goodness, my hair. I was a good 6 inches taller than my actual height at all times, simply due to the feathered, teased, hairspray filled hair my mother forced upon me. Those and the ungodly bows she used to put in my hair. This woman must’ve spent hundreds of dollars a month in hairspray, just so we could have matching dos.
Overall, we have both grown since the 90s and have become quite stylish individuals. (Besides the difference of opinion on denim skirts. She knows she’s guilty.) She is one of Trend Addictions’ most loyal customers. We love when she stops in and tries something on, all just to show that a “mom” can rock a lot of the same things that their daughters do!
So, in honor of all those moms out there that can share a wardrobe with their daughters, this gift guide is for you!
