Ever wonder what to do with decorative bowls? These bowls arrived in our store last year, and we have had to place re-orders left and right. They’re so useful in so many ways. Here are a few of my favorites.
one | for dinner
I use small bowls for everything in my kitchen. I’m one of those people who prepare everything, put it in a tiny bowl and act like Rachel Ray, when I cook. “And we add some onion (empty bowl into pan), and we add some spinach (empty next bowl into pan), and voila!” — what, you don’t? I also use them for when I make tacos. Which is a lot when it’s one of the only thing my picky 8 year old will eat. I used them to make one of my Hello Fresh recipes (there will be more on this on the blog on Monday, but if you can’t wait — use code EF3BLQ for $40 off your first box!), and they work perfectly.
two | for storage
After reading a blog post from Whippy Cake on how awesome she keeps her jewelry, I thought it would be pretty cool to do something similar. Now, I definitely don’t have that much jewelry as her, but I still want to be able to see what I have and make it look pretty. These bowls come in handy to separate earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets, and look really cute too!
three | for home grown
Have you ever had fresh basil? It’s like the best smelling thing ever. If you’re anything like me — someone who started really cooking in the past couple years and just threw out my basil shaker from 8 years ago — start growing your own. Now. It’s super easy, and tastes amazing. I’m a pasta girl, so basil is a must. Cilantro is next on my list! What’s on yours?
